A poem after Mary Oliver's "Shadows"
I can really feel the 'scream of disappointment' and the contrast between the first two stanzas and the last.
Thanks Amy. I was trying to convey that jarring contrast 😊
So so lovely 💕 the details are just so entrancing
Thank you Kaila 🙏

I feel swept inside every detail of this poem, Abbie. The docks swinging like a lullaby and the waxing gibbous winking. So beautiful!
I love this line: a labyrinth kissed by lavender and sage. The whole poem is fantastic!
The imagery is gorgeous! I love how the poem holds so much light and tenderness while still allowing disappointment and loss to arrive with the rain. <3
Thank you Petra 💛 I'm so glad you could sense that
You’re most welcome. <3
It brings back to me a memory of a long summer day in Maine, thank you.
That's exactly where I was! 😊
Ha ha well thank you for helping me reach for happy memories through your words. :)
You have a lovely way with words, Abbie! Gorgeous 💗
Thank you, Caroline. I feel the same of you. 😊
